Sheki Day Trip: Explore Historical Sites & Palaces Itinerary

Sheki-a clean, well-kept town with recognizable architecture, red roofing shingles -looks more like a typical European provincial locality than an eastern city.

The city has preserved many historical and architectural attractions, a special place among which takes the majestic palace of the Sheki khans of  XVII century, built without a single nail with luxurious wall paintings and openwork windows in a stone citadel. Moreover,  the Albanian temple located near the city of Kish, the Gelersen-Gorersen fortress (VIII-IX centuries), numerous caravanserais, the Shekikhanov’s house, the Juma mosque (XVIII century), the minaret of the Gileilino mosque (XVIII century), and medieval baths is interesting places also for visiting. Sheki is a major craft center.  You can't go without tasting Sheki cuisine.
