Beshbarmag (five-fingered mountain)

The rocky massif called Beshbarmag (546 meters above sea level) got its name from the shape of a stone peak resembling a palm with five fingers. The mountain is known as a defensive monument with a long history, as well as a place of pilgrimage, where thousands of people from all over the country come annually. Beshbarmag keeps many secrets, myths, and legends. Many mystical stories are associated with this mountain, which is today considered to be sacred. For example, it is believed that there is a magic stone, after which infertile people get the opportunity to have children. They also talk about healing water oozing from stones at its top - the tears of the prophet Khizyr. According to legend, an ancient prophet named Khizyr, who was looking for an elixir of life, came upon a source of living water in this place, after drinking from which, he became immortal. Therefore, the mountain is also called "Khizir-Zindya" - "Immortal Khizir".

Guba

Guba, a favorite place for tourists, famous for its juicy apples and handmade ornamental rugs, the price of which sometimes amounts up to thousands of dollars. There is one of the most famous settlements of mountain Jews - the red settlement. Guba is also famous for local sweets, one of which is the famous Guba baklava.

The village of Krasnaya Sloboda is the only densely populated place of mountain Jews in the entire post-Soviet space.

It will thrill you. This is a dense and shady forest park where you can hide from the sun on summer days. There are many restaurants and cafes on the territory of Gachryash, where traditional dishes unique in taste and consistency are served.

Khinalig Village

It is located in an inaccessible area in the south-west part of the Guba district on the slope of Mount Kyzylkaya, on the northern slope of the Main Caucasian Range, opposite the mountain of the same name Khinalig. The village attracts tourists and travelers with its inaccessibility, peculiar language, unique architectural design, and culture. There are pilgrimage sites of the Middle Ages for fire worshipers, mosques, caves, and numerous unexplored archaeological sites. Most of the territory is covered with subalpine and alpine meadows. An asphalt road leads to Khinalig from the district center of Guba. There is a frontier post and one of the entrances to the Shahdag National Park. The entire mountainous area around Khinalig is the Shahdag National Park.
