The updated generation of KIA Sportage, which has retained the characteristic proportions of its predecessor, is distinguished by bold design solutions and highly functional technical innovations. The car has become larger - the body length has increased by 40 mm and the wheelbase has increased by 30 mm, respectively, it has become more spacious inside. Creating the 4th generation KIA Sportage, the company's designers have meticulously reacted to improving the safety and handling of this crossover. The car body was made much stiffer due to the use of a larger percentage of high-strength steel alloys (51% versus 18% for its predecessor). A significant contribution to improving the handling of the new KIA Sportage was made by more optimized aerodynamics - the engineers managed to lower the drag coefficient from 0.35 to 0.33.

The new KIA Sportage is an excellent safety winner. Based on rigorous testing, EuroNCAP has rated the vehicle a maximum of 5 stars. In addition, the presence of such electronic systems and assistants as ABS, brake force distribution (EBD), anti-axle (ASR), stability control (ESP), as well as assistance systems when starting up and downhill significantly increases not only safety but also the comfort of use.
