The brand name is based on the abbreviation of the expression "Reliable Active Vehicle On-Road ", which translates as "reliable and active car on the road", and the emblem of the brand is the winged helmet of Mercury - the patron saint of travelers in the mythology of Ancient Rome.
The Ravon brand was founded in 2015 - during the restructuring of the UzDaewooAuto company (which is in 2008, due to bankruptcy, was sold to the American corporation of General Motors and transferred to the management of GM Uzbekistan later). In Uzbekistan, the brand has been assigned the status of a "national automobile company" (at the same time, Ravon does not develop its own models, it specializes in "adaptation" and production of cars developed by the South Korean division of the GM concern).
