Mitsubishi Motors Corporation is a Japanese automobile manufacturer, part of the Mitsubishi group, which is the largest manufacturing group in Japan.
Mitsubishi was founded in 1873 by Yataro Iwasaki. Initially, it was a shipbuilding and ship repair company. Today the company produces a wide range of vehicles - from buses and heavy trucks to compact city cars. The headquarters are located in Tokyo. The Model-A, Mitsubishi's first production car, was released in Japan in 1917 and immediately gained popularity. After the war, the production of passenger cars resumed only in 1960 with the release of the Mitsubishi 500 sedan. In 1982, Mitsubishi launched the famous Mitsubishi Pajero SUV on the automotive market.
