Hyundai Motor Company is a South Korean company that manufactures a wide range of automotive vehicles.
The history of the automaker began in 1947 when a shipbuilding firm was opened. It was founded by the engineer Chung Joo Jung. Only 20 years later, the first car manufacturing plant was opened in Seoul, where the company's headquarters are still located. In 1976, having already filled its market, the company began exporting its own cars to Europe. Hyundai has achieved strong economic performance as a result of the purchase of Kia / Asia Motors. Today, the company's factories are open in many countries of the world for the production and assembly of cars.
