Ismayilli's cultural life is very rich. Craft has developed here since ancient times There are numerous ancient monuments of different times.
Tourists are also coming to the unusual colorful villages of the region, where different nationalities live and where traditional craftsmen live.
The Museum of Ethnography-The Museum of Ethnography. There is also the Ismailli Museum of Ethnography, which gives you a chance to see the rich history of this region. The museum, which has been operating since 1980, was moved to a new building in 2009. More than a thousand exhibits were collected in the museum, rare items, such as the oldest butter found in the world. It was found in the amphora of Mollaisaqly village during the construction of the Oguz-Gabala-Baku water pipeline. As a result of the examination conducted by the specialists, it was found that butter belongs to the III-I centuries BC.
Clay pots, bronze jewelry, and tombs dating to the II-I century BC were also discovered in the village of Mollaisaqli, inhabited by habit, which are ethnic groups living in Caucasian Albania. Should be noted the stone stored in the museum and presumed to be a meteorite from the depths of space. The unusual melted surface of the stone, its small size, but a heavyweight makes no doubt about its origin. The museum's collection includes more than 1,000 exhibits. Here you can also see pottery, bronze jewelry, burials of people of the II-I centuries.
BASGAL CENTER. There is "Kelagai silk center" in Basqal village. The most valuable kelagai, consisting of 6 or 7 colors, are made in Basqal. The center has established a unique Kelagai museum. Visitors of the museum not only can get acquainted with the history and traditions of Kelagai, but also watch the production process and even participate in it.
HEYDAR ALIYEV CENTER. Ismayilli Heydar Aliyev Center was opened in 2008 and immediately became a place for citizens to visit. The center provides rich opportunities for learning and creativity. There is the Heydar Aliyev Heritage Research Center, an electronic library, a traditional library with more than 5,000 books, and a conference hall. Young people are involved in the Internet Club, painting, aircraft modeling, computer literacy, skilled hands, chess, and so on.
