It is one of the charming corners of Azerbaijan. Located 440 km from Baku, in the middle and high mountainous zone of the Lesser Caucasus, the charming nature, flora and fauna, and rich material and cultural heritage of the region testify to the vast tourism potential.

Gadabay region has unparalleled tourism potential. The tourism potential of the region has invaluable opportunities. Thus, the presence of 26 mineral waters, more than 100 natural medicinal plants, and dense forests are visual examples of the region's fascinating tourism opportunities. There are more than 500 historical monuments, castles, and fortresses in the region. 106 of them are registered, 1 world-famous archeological monument is located in Soyudlu village, Boyuk Galacha (Iron Age II-I millennium BC), Maiden Tower (IX century national architectural monument), Mahrasa complex (architectural samples of the fire-worship period), Koroglu Fortress (architectural monument of the national importance of the XVl century), Siemens bridge (building of the 60s of the XIX century), Albanian historical architectural monument of local significance in Boyuk Garamurad village (1634), Albanian historical architectural monument of local importance located in Novosaratovka village (1535).

Gadabay, located in the western part of the country in the heart of the Lesser Caucasus Mountains, is famous for its mysterious nature. Green pastures, wide meadows, dense forests, small rivers flowing down the slopes from the top of the mountains, waterfalls, lakes, ice springs flowing through the rocks, as well as ancient and rich history make Gadabay an invaluable place for local and foreign tourists.

"Koroglu" or "Javanshir fortress" is located 15 km from the district center. The historic building was built on the top of a steep cliff. The monument, located at an altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level, can only be reached on foot. From here, the surrounding villages look like in the palm of your hand. It is even possible to watch the famous Siemens Bridge, a symbol of Gadabay, from the distance. This place was the area of the first railway line in the Caucasus, and is now protected by the state as a historic building and is considered a "business card" of Gadabay.

Another place that has a rich history of Gadabay is the village of Boyuk Garamurad. This is where the temple, a monument of Caucasian Albania, is located. The temple is about 600 years old and is one of about 10 religious temples in Gadabay that live the history of Caucasian Albania.

"Shirshira" waterfall is located near the center of Gadabay. There is no highway to this waterfall. The waterfall flows from a height of 10-12 meters. Those who go to Gadabay will definitely see this pearl of nature created by the Duzyurd River.

The Duzyurd-Miskinli plateau is also an interesting place for tourists. This is where the first National Pasture Festival in Azerbaijan was held in July.
