An award winning, successful transformational leader with 20+ years of tourism and hospitality experience in medium and large-scale international hotels, as well as experienced professional at fast growing high-tech travel platform Bahar Dadashova has been named the Head of Regional Olympic Complex Hotels by Ministry of Youth and Sport of Azerbaijan Republic.Developing and managing 10+ hotels within the portfolio of hotels group where previously served as strategic and resilient Revenue and Business Development leader, this is her second large project overlooking 35+ hotels varying in size both in the capital, Baku city, as well as regions of Azerbaijan bringing together the East and West, the North and South. Each property will reflect the unique sequence of design, passion, and audience with an emphasis on the minutiae and a tailored touch.Bahar has a vast market knowledge in tourism and hospitality since she holds high honor bachelor’s degree from Azerbaijan State Economic University (UNEC) in Tourism and Hospitality Management and high honor master’s degree from Baku State University in Tourism and Social Cultural Service, BERCA certificate from ADA University, CHBA from HSMAI, AHLEI certificates, other qualifications and awards related to the field as well as years of work experience as she served in a number of key leadership roles at various hotels and hotels group in Azerbaijan under the Hyatt International and Marriott International brands that includes Hyatt Regency, Park Hyatt, JW Marriott, Marriott, Autograph Collection and Sheraton.Since the tourism impact on sustainable regional development in emerging markets is highly substantial, tourism is an important basis for economic expansion for Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, and Russia, with their rich natural resources and cultural heritage to form an acceptable image of the countries as safe, open, hospitable, and complex. Following her scientific passion and dedication on being part of industry development Bahar held a deep analysis of state support and policy mechanisms driving tourism as one of the vibrant and rapidly developing economies. She held her research on the State programs and long-range strategic roadmaps and previous programs execution, results and their impact on the particular countries economy to provide a useful framework for discussions with a wider range of stakeholders as the implications arising are of importance both for academics and practitioners engaged in hospitality and tourism development and research. This work was released in 2019 being her 1st international article on International Journal of Humanities and Social Sciences (World Academy of Science, Engineering and Technology Vol:13, No:8, 2019) titled “The State Support to the Tourism Policy Formation Mechanism in Black Sea Basin Countries (Azerbaijan, Turkey, Russia, Georgia) and Its Impact on Sustainable Tourism Development” and was presented in front of a large audience of researchers, professors and international experts in Venice, Italy.Success is never final and this is stated exactly for Bahar. The latest accomplishment and award was an Honorary Decree by the State Tourism Agency for her long-term effective activity in the field of tourism dated September, 2020.The Ministry of Youth and Sport of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established by the decree #179 of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan from June 26th 1994 and the resolution # 861 of the National Assembly (Milli Mejlis) of the Republic of Azerbaijan from July 26th 1994.There are 88 units operated under Ministry of Youth and Sport available to public that includes Olympic Sport Complexes (stadium, sport halls, pool, hotel, cottage, hostel), sport halls and swimming pool, chess centers, stadiums, training and leisure centers, sport centers, sport concert complex and halls, tennis complex, Aquatic center, European Game Park, Velotrack, Football stadium, regional youth centers and units under construction and development.
